Declan John has made his loan deal with Rangers permanent after agreeing a three-and-a-half year contract.
The 22-year-old defender moved to Ibrox on loan from Cardiff City last summer and has made 14 appearances, scoring two goals.
John slotted in at left-back in the absence of skipper Lee Wallace and will now remain at the Glasgow club until the summer of 2021.
"We'd like to thank Declan for his contribution and wish him the best for the future," said Cardiff in a statement.
