Rangers fixtures: Scottish Premiership 2018/19

Steven Gerrard was unveiled as the new Rangers manager on Friday afternoon

Steven Gerrard's Rangers will kick off their 2018/19 Scottish Premiership campaign at Aberdeen on August 5.

The former Liverpool midfielder takes his side to Pittodrie for a 1pm Sunday kick-off against the side who pipped Rangers to second place last season and then has his first home clash on August 11 with newly-promoted St Mirren.

The first Old Firm match comes on September 1 at Celtic Park, with the next clash against Celtic coming on December 29 at Ibrox, both live on Sky Sports.

The winter break will then last until January 23, before the third Old Firm league match away at Celtic on March 30, live on Sky Sports. Rangers then host Hearts on April 3 and go to Motherwell on April 6, and fixtures beyond that date are still to be confirmed. The season will conclude on May 18/19.

Gerrard's first competitive game as Rangers boss will come before the domestic season kicks off; his side are in the first qualifying round of the Europa League, taking place on July 12 and 19, with the draw coming on June 20.

If they progress, the second qualifying round will take place on July 26 and August 2.
