Calderwood content with pair

Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood insists Scott Morrison and Scott Muirhead have a future at Pittodrie.

The pair were mentioned in a possible swap deal for Dunfermline defender Richie Byrne but this has since been dismissed by the Dons chief.

Calderwood insists that it was Dunfermline who enquired about his players and that they were never offered in exchange.

''I took Richie to Dunfermline and know him well,'' Calderwood told the Press and Journal.

''I enquired if he was available, but we will not be paying money for him as we don't have any of it.

''It was made out as if we were wanting to get rid of two players for him but that is not true.

'''If Dunfermline had wanted him off their books then maybe something could have happened.''
