Peter Haring has signed a new two-year contract extension at Hearts, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2022.

The Austrian has impressed since arriving at Tynecastle from SV Ried in his homeland during last summer's transfer window.

Originally deployed in the heart of the defence, the 25-year-old has been a revelation in the centre of the park after manager Craig Levein switched him into a midfield role.

Haring, currently recovering from a groin problem, has made 36 appearances this season, despite missing seven weeks through injury.

He joins Christophe Berra, John Souttar, Michael Smith and Uche Ikpeazu in signing new deals at the Edinburgh club this year.
