Striker looking forward to move after deciding to leave Motherwell

Hearts have continued their recruitment drive for next season by signing Motherwell striker John Sutton on a three-year contract. Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that Hearts were leading the chase to sign Sutton, who was available on a free transfer. The 27-year-old, who scored 17 goals for Motherwell last season, including three against Hearts at Tynecastle, has now finalised his switch to Tynecastle. "I'm really looking forward to my time here," Sutton told Hearts News. "It's a big club and hopefully I can help bring some silverware to Tynecastle. "There was always a great atmosphere here when I played and I'm looking forward to having the fans on my side for a change!" Sutton joins Hearts on the same day Jamie Hamill put the finishing touches to his three-year contract and he admits the move helps make up for the disappointment of losing to Celtic in last weekend's Scottish Cup final. He said: "I am sorry to be leaving Motherwell so soon after that but these things happen in football."
