Scottish Cup winners Hibernian have imposed a second series of bans on supporters who caused trouble at Hampden Park last month.

Supporters of the Edinburgh club were involved in ugly incidents following their momentous 3-2 victory over Rangers on May 21, which led to Hibs dishing out bans to a number of people.

And the Championship side have now identified a number of other individuals who invaded the pitch following the final in Glasgow, and have imposed sanctions that include both life and indefinite bans.

These latest bans are for various offences, including violence towards other supporters.

Leeann Dempster, chief executive of Hibs, said: "We will continue to co-operate fully with Police Scotland and the football authorities.

"But in addition we are carrying out our own review into what happened and we will take the action we think appropriate to protect the club's good name."

A criminal investigation relating to the trouble is ongoing and the SFA have also set up an independent commission to examine how security measures failed on the day of the Scottish Cup final.
