Hibernian and Neil Lennon will reach a settlement in the next 24 hours that will see him leave his role as head coach, Sky Sports News understands.
The Hibernian board met on Tuesday at the club's training ground for their scheduled monthly meeting.
Lennon was suspended on Friday by chief executive Leeann Dempster following a team meeting despite some players stating publicly that the discussion was nothing out of the ordinary.
Despite being without Lennon, Hibernian won their first league game in six attempts with a 3-1 victory at St Mirren on the weekend.
On Monday, Hibernian captain David Gray said he was shocked to hear that Lennon had been suspended by the club, and said the head coach's relationship with the players was still strong.
Lennon joined Hibernian in June 2016 and has been in charge for 123 games.
