Hibernian have spoken to former Barnsley and Leeds boss Paul Heckingbottom regarding their vacant head coach position, Sky Sports News understands.
The 41-year-old is currently out of work after leaving Elland Road in June 2018 after less than four months in charge.
Hibs are searching for a new head coach after the departure of Neil Lennon last week.
The former Celtic boss was suspended, which Sky sources understand came as a result of a heated team meeting.
Eddie May has been in charge on an interim basis since Lennon's suspension, and is likely to once again be at the helm for Hibs' trip to Celtic on Wednesday.
