Striker aware he needs to improve to impress Calderwood
Ricardo Vaz Te accepts he needs to enjoy a positive end of the season in order to earn a new contract at Hibernian.
The former Bolton Wanderers striker has scored once in five appearances since joining Hibs on a short-term deal at the end of February.
He is happy at Easter Road and is determined to convince manager Colin Calderwood that he is worthy of a more long-term arrangement.
"I'm just trying to finish the season in my best form and I will analyse whatever comes of that," said Vaz Te in the
Daily Record.
Grateful
"I've not had any chat with the manager at this particular time. I'll leave that to my agent.
"But what I would say is that I'm very settled. I'm happy and I've nothing to complain about. I'm very grateful for the way the club have treated me.
"But I can't speculate. I just have to focus on finishing the season as best I can.
"The manager is definitely right when he says I need to show more.
"If that's the best of me I'm pretty much in a downfall. I need to reflect on that and hopefully get better next time."
