Inverness CT boss John Hughes named manager of the month

Inverness CT boss John Hughes has been named Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month for April.

The former Falkirk and Hibernian manager led his side to three victories and a draw from their five league matches during the period.

Caley opened the month with a 2-1 home defeat to Motherwell but a 2-0 away win at Dundee United and a goalless home draw with Hearts eased any lingering worries over an end-of-season play-off spot.,

And post-split, the Highlanders completed the month in style with a 3-1 home victory over Kilmarnock and a convincing 4-1 defeat of Partick Thistle at Firhill.

The Ladbrokes monthly award is voted for by members of the Scottish media.
