Scott McDonald says Motherwell must find consistency

Scott McDonald says Motherwell must find a level of consistency to ensure they remain in the top six this season.
Mark McGhee's side, who currently sit sixth in the Scottish Premiership table, are going for their third successive home win against Celtic on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 5 from midday.
Despite sitting in the top half of the table, Well boast only a two-point advantage over bottom club Partick Thistle and McDonald insists their erratic form has to change.
The striker told Sky Sports Scotland: "It looks like it could go right to the wire as week in, week out, everyone seems to be beating each other and no one can get any consistency going.
"I think if someone can get that consistency they will certainly shoot right up that table and hopefully be looking at catching the likes of (fifth-placed) St Johnstone if they drop a few points.
"But at the moment we just need to worry about ourselves and if we do that and try and pick up points as much as possible then we will be ok."
Aussie McDonald, known affectionately as Skippy by the Celtic supporters following his two-and-a-half year spell at Celtic Park, believes his old club are a "different animal" under Brendan Rodgers this season.
The Hoops, who are unbeaten this campaign and have not conceded a goal in their last seven league matches, boast an eight-point advantage over second-placed Hearts having played three games fewer.
"it will be a tough ask," said McDonald, who will play his 200th game for Motherwell against the champions. "As we all know they are unbeaten this season having dropped points in only one match at Inverness.
"But we have prepared early this week and we will try and put our stamp on the game. We had a bad performance last week against Hearts but at home we are always confident and off the back of the last two games we have played here we can make it three wins in a row.
"Brendan Rodgers has made them a different animal this season. They have been keeping the ball very, very well and they have pace in abundance up front and we just have to be very patient and frustrate Celtic.
"When we do get the ball we have to use it right and try and counter in the right areas and obviously if you get any chances then you have to take them.
"I didn't know I was about to play my 200th game for the club. I'm just delighted to be still playing and hopefully I can make another 100 or 150 for them."
