WATCH: Motherwell fans release Scottish Cup final song ahead of Hampden clash

Cup fever is alive and well in Scotland after Motherwell released a song in order to get the fans prepared for Hampden.

On Saturday, Steve Robinson's side will face Scottish Premiership champions and League Cup winners Celtic - who are aiming to complete a historic double treble, live on Sky Sports.

Motherwell have not reached the cup final since 2011, when they lost 3-0 to Celtic, and they last lifted the trophy in 1991, beating Dundee United 4-3 after extra-time.

The two sides also met in the Scottish League Cup final back in November, with Celtic emerging as the 2-0 winners.

However, hoping for inspiration as they look to go one better this weekend, they have rekindled an old tradition by re-releasing the 1969 classic 'Up The Well' alongside local group The Banter Thiefs, and the video shows footage of their journey to Hampden.

Motherwell defeated Aberdeen 3-0 in the semi-final while Brendan Rodgers' Celtic side beat rivals Rangers 4-0.

On Thursday morning the song was riding high at 17th in the iTunes charts, ahead of Rita Ora and Christina Aguilera.
