Motherwell have signed goalkeeper Craig Samson until the end of the season.
Samson, a recent inclusion in Gordon Strachan's Scotland squad, almost joined the FIr Park side two years ago before the move fell through.
The 31-year-old was last with Kilmarnock before agreeing a release at the start of August, having previously enjoyed spells with a number of clubs including Dundee and Dundee United.
Samson will now battle with Connor Ripley and Dan Twardzik for the starting position with Ian Baraclough's side.
"Connor has been playing excellent since coming to the club and Dan is here too. I've got to work hard to impress the manager and try and get into the team," he told MFC TV.
"I know Connor has the jersey at the moment, I know Dan is pushing hard as well, so it is up to me to train hard and try and force my way in.
"I think this is a club going in the right direction. The team performed well in the play-offs and this season they're ready to kick on and do well.
"I believe the manager has added well and there is competition for every spot."
