Leaders Paris Saint-Germain defeated Lyon 5-1 at Parc des Princes on Sunday to tighten their grip on Ligue 1.

Laurent Blanc's men never looked back after taking a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes through Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Serge Aurier.

Although Jordan Ferri pulled a goal back with a 25-yard effort which caught out keeper Kevin Trapp, PSG stepped things up again in the second half.

Edinson Cavani hooked in a third before Ibrahimovic added a penalty, with a breakaway goal in stoppage time from substitute Lucas Moura sealing a 15th Ligue 1 victory, which is likely to cast more doubt on the future of Lyon boss Hubert Fournier.

Angers remain in second place following a 1-1 home draw with Bordeaux, but are now ahead of Monaco only on goal difference, both some 15 points behind PSG.

Bordeaux had looked on course for victory after taking the lead just before half-time through Diego Rolan.

However, the hosts' persistence eventually paid off with just seven minutes left when Romain Thomas levelled following a corner to stretch their unbeaten run to five games.

Earlier, Monaco moved temporarily into second place after a slender 1-0 win over 10-man Saint-Etienne at the Stade Louis II.

Leonardo Jardim's side extended their recent fine form to just one Ligue 1 defeat in 12 games after a crucial late penalty from Fabinho (82).

Les Verts saw defender Kevin Malcuit sent off for a second yellow card just after the hour.

Monaco's pressure eventually told when Pierre-Yves Polomat inexplicably handled inside the area, and Fabinho made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Sunday's other Ligue 1 match saw Ajaccio extend their unbeaten run to eight games with a 1-1 draw at Marseille, who finished with 10 men.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half when Jacques Zoua scored from the penalty spot.

However, Marseille were level before the break through Michy Batshuayi. The hosts were reduced to 10 men when Abdelaziz Barrada was shown a red card for a tackle on John Tshibumbu, but held out for a point.
