South Korean signs new three-year contract

Monaco striker Park Chu-Young has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2013. The 25-year-old South Korea international has been with the French club since 2008 and his good form has earned him a new deal. Park, who moved to Stade Louis II last season from FC Seoul, has scored six league goals this term and one in the French Cup. Monaco are currently sixth in Ligue 1, eleven points behind leaders and defending champions Bordeaux. A win for Les Rouge et Blanc against Nice on Saturday could see them move into second place in the French top flight.
