Bordeaux and Lyon draw while Marseille grab dramatic win
Both Bordeaux and Lyon's hopes of securing the Ligue 1 title are rapidly fading after they shared a 2-2 draw in an explosive encounter on Saturday evening.
Outgoing star striker Marouane Chamakh opened the scoring on 25 minutes before an Ederson strike levelled matters after the half-time break.
A well-hit effort from Jaroslav Plasil sent the reigning champions back into the lead shortly afterwards before a header from centre-back Cris once again drew Lyon level.
The match then ended on a sour note, as Lyon's Anthony Reveillere was sent off for bad foul and Bordeaux players Benont Tremoulinas and Jussie were also red carded in a subsequent fracas.
League leaders
Marseille maintained their five-point cushion at the top of the table thanks to a last-gasp 2-1 victory over relegation-threatened
Boulogne.
Didier Deschamps' side took the lead at Stade de la Liberation on the stroke of half-time through Mathieu Valbuena.
However, substitute Jeremy Blayac equalised for the hosts and Boulogne looked destined for an unlikely point until Taye Taiwo converted a penalty deep into stoppage time after a handball in the area.
Second-placed
Auxerre were far more convincing as they brushed aside mid-table
Lorient 4-1 at home.
Denis Oliech, Ireneusz Jelen and Valter Birsa put the hosts three goals up, with the sending off of Jeremy Morel for two bookable offences aiding their cause.
Kevin Gameiro scored a consolation before Cedric Hengbart netted from the spot to regain the three-goal cushion.
At the other end of the table, 10-man
Le Mans boosted their faint hopes of survival with a 1-0 win at
Valenciennes.
The match seemed to be heading for a goalless draw, with Le Mans' Guillame Loriot seeing red, but defender Sebastien Corchia struck in the fifth minute of added time to seal the three points.
Relegated
Grenoble fought their way to a 2-2 draw with
Sochaux after falling behind through a Brown Ideye goal.
Danijel Ljoboja and Daisuke Matsui struck back to give Grenoble the lead but Jeremie Brechet equalised with 15 minutes to go.
Rennes failed to capitalise on home advantage as they played out an uneventful 0-0 draw with
Nancy at the Stade de la Route de Lorient.
The clash between
Nice and
Lens also ended goalless as both teams now look to have secured their Ligue 1 safety.
