Evian have continued their preparations for life in Ligue 1 by confirming the signing of Sidney Govou.
Striker signs two-year deal with top-flight newcomers
Evian have continued their preparations for their first season of top-flight football by confirming the signing of Sidney Govou.
The France striker has agreed a two-year deal as the Ligue 1 newcomers look to secure the firepower to help in a probable relegation battle.
Govou was desperate to return to his homeland after just one unhappy year with Panathinaikos in Greece.
The 31-year-old was previously a member of the Lyon squad which won the Ligue 1 title seven times between 2002 and 2008, and he is looking forward to a reunion.
Govou told Evian's official website: "I'm really happy to be here. I was immediately convinced.
"Of course I checked the date of the match in Lyon on the calendar."
