The right back has admitted to being upset about not being selected by Paul Le Guen.
"At first, I could understand the fact I didn't play, as I missed the beginning of the pre-season, due to my participation to World Cup," said Deflandre.
"But today I feel perfectly fit, so I can't understand to not have been selected with the group that will play at Sochaux.
"To tell you the truth, I even expected to be first team member, so I must admit I am very disappointed and very bitter.
"Today, I ask me lot of questions about why I am kept in the background, as I have never had any bad critics. Perhaps there something else? It is out of question to say I will play all the season in reserve team."
Deflandre had been linked with a switch to Rennes in an exchange deal with Anthony Reveillere, but he dismissed this.
"One thing is certain, as I still have two years on my contract at Lyon, I am absolutely not going to Rennes. That's why I hope to have a serious meeting with the coach next week."
