Didier Deschamps has confirmed he will remain as manager of Marseille.
Deschamps' future had been the subject of conjecture, amid reports suggesting he could part company with l'OM this summer.
The former midfielder had been linked with a switch to Roma, and also to former club Chelsea.
However, the 42-year-old has now confirmed he has extended his current deal by two years to 2014.
"I have decided to continue my adventure with Olympique Marseille and to stay on for the long haul by extending my contract for two years," he said.
Road map
"I now have a road map with the financial wherewithal so that from today I can prepare the most competitive team possible in a precise budgetary framework."
Speculation had surrounded Deschamps' future after the former France and Marseille captain made comments in May which suggested he could move on if club bosses did not spell out their intentions for the coming seasons.
He helped end the club's 17-year wait for the league title in 2010 and although his side failed to defend their crown, a second-placed finish ensured they qualified for next season's Champions League.
After spells at Juventus and Monaco, Deschamps succeeded Eric Gerets as Marseille boss in the summer of 2009 and under his leadership the team has won four trophies in two seasons.
