Lorient have completed the signing of former Fulham striker Steve Marlet from Wolfsburg. The 32-year-old striker has penned a one-year contract with the newly-promoted Ligue 1 outfit.
Marlet, who cost The Cottagers a massive £11.5 million back in January 2002, revealed coach Christian Gourcuff's attacking style impressed him.
"Lorient are a team that perfectly plays football and takes risks," explained Marlet.
"I am physically fine. For a fortnight I was training with PSG's reserves and I want to thank coach Vincent Guerin for accepting me.
"Signing for Lorient does not represent a lack of ambition, on the contrary. The team wants to stay in Ligue 1 and grow."
