Lille lose, PSG boost Euro hopes

Lille were upset by Monaco, PSG boosted their European hopes while Auxerre slipped into bottom three. Leaders Lille tasted a rare defeat following a surprise 1-0 loss to lowly Monaco. Park Chu-young opened the scoring for the Principality outfit and the visitors' quest was hampered when Gervinho was sent off eight minutes before the interval. The win lifted Monaco from 18th to 14th, one point above the relegation zone. Rennes missed the chance to pile the pressure on Marseille in the late kick-off after suffering a 2-0 loss to Brest. Nolan Roux gave the home side the half time lead with Bruno Grougi doubling their advantage in the 57th minute. The defeat means Rennes stay third in the standings on 51 points while Brest now sit 11th four points above the bottom three. Paris St Germain boosted their European chances with a 2-1 win at Caen. Christophe Jallet and Clement Chantome both found the back of the net for the Parisians while substitute Romain Hamouma scored a consolation in the third minute of injury time. AJ Auxerre have slipped into the drop zone after a 2-2 home draw against St Etienne. Dariusz Dudka snatched a point from the penalty spot after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put the visitors ahead for a second time. Earlier Emmanuel Riviere gave St Etienne a 26th minute lead, but it failed to last as Dennis Oliech equalised before the interval. Bordeaux's clash with Arles finished goalless while Jeremy Morel's goal earned Lorient a 1-1 home draw with Sochaux. Nancy earned a last-gasp 1-1 draw at Valenciennes as both teams finished the game a man light. Milan Bisevac collected his second yellow card for the home side with Gregory Pujol opened the scoring soon after. Michael Chretien then was dismissed in the second half, but the visitors were not to be denied with substitute Marama Vahirua netting late on.
