Nice have confirmed the signing of former France midfielder Camel Meriem. The 31-year-old has signed a two-year contract after joining on a free transfer from Arles, who have been relegated from Ligue 1. The Frenchman had an option to extend his original contract with Arles to a second season, but preferred to remain in the top flight with Nice. Meriem, a former Marseille, Monaco and Bordeux player, won three caps for France under Raymond Domenech.
