Real Sociedad president threatens to report referee to police

Real Sociedad's president has threatened to report referee Jose Luiz Gonzalez Gonzalez to the police after a number of decisions in their 3-1 defeat by Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The claim was made in the referee's post-match report, stating that Sociedad chief Jokin Aperribay entered his changing room at half-time to complain about key decisions made during the La Liga tie.
As reported by Spanish newspaper AS, it is alleged Aperribay told the referee: "This is shameful. You have come here to rob us and I will be filing a complaint to the police."
Following the match, the Sociedad president was again critical while speaking to TV channel Movistar+, saying: "It is a shame to come to the Bernabeu eager to make a good game and you [concede] two penalties… neither the first nor the second was a penalty.
"And the referee's happy without seeing anything."
The Real Sociedad official website also headlined their match report from the Bernabeu 'An Afternoon of Injustices'.
Real Madrid were awarded two first-half penalties, the first of which was put over the bar by Cristiano Ronaldo, before he successfully converted the second.
The first was given after what Sociedad felt was a dive by Karim Benzema, and a second spot-kick was awarded after the ball deflected onto Yuri Berchiche's hand just minutes before half-time.
The visitors also felt they could have had a penalty at the other end for a challenge on Jonathas by Pepe, but his claims were waved away by the referee.
It is unclear at this stage whether Real Sociedad will face retrospective punishment for the move.
