Real Madrid's front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema came together to score a superb opener

Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema combined to stunning effect to score Real Madrid's opener against Gary Neville's Valencia.

The trio - who cost almost £200m to assemble at Real Madrid - exchanged quick-fire passes on the edge of the Valencia box before Benzema tucked the ball into the bottom corner.

It was Benzema's 12th La Liga goal of the season - and the 34th scored by Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo combined in Spain's top flight this term.

Dani Parejo struck back for the hosts, converting a penalty just before half-time, before late drama saw Paco Alcacer cancel out Gareth Bale's header.
