Eibar boosted their chances of a top-half finish in La Liga with a comprehensive 4-1 win at fellow mid-table side Girona.
The visitors were in control at the break thanks to a Kike double, only for Aday to halve Girona's deficit early in the second half.
Late goals from Joan Jordan and Takashi Inui secured only Eibar's second victory in 10 games to move them within one point of ninth-placed Girona.
Villarreal moved to within touching distance of qualifying for the Europa League after Mario Gaspar scored a late winner to beat rivals Valencia.
Gaspar headed in Manuel Trigueros' free-kick in the 86th minute at Estadio de la Ceramica to secure a dramatic 1-0 win over Valencia, who have also sealed their place in next season's Champions League.
Real Betis saw their eight-match unbeaten run in the league end with a 2-0 defeat at Athletic Bilbao.
The visitors looked set to be holding out for a goalless draw until Iker Muniain broke the deadlock when he headed in a cross from Inigo Lekue.
Aritz Aduriz added a second in stoppage time, slotting into the bottom corner at the near post after a break by Inaki Williams down the right flank.
Deportivo are already relegated but they showed character to come from behind to draw 1-1 with Celta Vigo at Estadio Municipal de Balaidos.
Maximiliano Gomez handed Celta the lead after 13 minutes before Arsenal loanee Lucas Perez levelled for the visitors in the final minute.
