Frenchman signs three-year contract

Primera Liga outfit Racing Santander have completed the signing of Peter Luccin from Real Zaragoza. The French midfielder was unable to prevent his former side slipping out of the Spanish top flight last season, but has secured a move to ensure that he remains among the country's elite. The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract at El Sardinero and is seen as a direct replacement for Aldo Duscher, who has joined Sevilla. Racing have secured Uefa Cup football for this season and Luccin is hoping to help his new club repeat the heroics of last year's sixth place finish. "I am delighted to sign for this club," he said. "I am looking forward to a great season. We will fight for a Uefa place. "There are many good players at the club and the challenge is very exciting. I hope to bring some experience to the midfield."
