La Liga basement side Xerez have sacked coach Jose Angel Ziganda. Xerez have struggled to make an impact in Spain's top flight since winning promotion last season. They have won only one game from their opening 17 Liga encounters and scored only seven goals in the process. Ziganda has paid the price for their poor form and Technical secretary Antonio Poyatos has been placed in tempoary charge.
