Attacker admits Vallecano's financial troubles could prompt his sale

Rayo Vallecano attacker Michu insists he has not received an offer from the Premier League, but is aware he could be sold this summer. Michu enjoyed an impressive debut season with Vallecano in La Liga following his arrival from Celta Vigo and has a further year to run on his contract. However, Vallecano's financial troubles could lead to his departure and several clubs in England are reported to be considering a deal. Manchester United are reported to have watched Michu this season, while the likes of Fulham, Stoke City, Southampton, Wigan Athletic and West Bromwich Albion have also been linked with bids. "If a good offer arrives for Rayo and me I will study leaving," Michu told reporters in Oviedo. "Rayo are suffering from money problems and it is normal to analyse things in these circumstances, but personally I still do not have an offer on the table." Michu has a release clause in his contract of €4million (£3.2m), but reports in Spain claim Vallecano could be prepared to accept around €2.5m (£2m) for his sale.
