Barcelona will continue their appeal against Luis Suarez's two-match ban by taking the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Suarez was shown a late red card for catching Koke with an elbow during the second leg of Barca's semi-final win over Atletico Madrid.
The Appeals Committee rejected the club's claim against the suspension - which only applies to cup matches - but Barca have confirmed they will refer the decision to CAS.
The club said in a statement: "The appeal is based on the argument that the player never struck the opposing player 'in a reckless manner' as stated in the match official's report."
It has been reported that Suarez was punished for the dismissal, as well as for not going straight to the changing room after leaving the pitch.
Holders Barca beat Atletico 3-2 on aggregate to reach their fourth straight Copa del Rey final. They face Alaves in the final on May 27.
