Brazilian playmaker claims Real team-mate is better than Messi
Kaka believes his Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo is a more complete player than Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
With the vote for the 2011 Ballon d'Or edging ever closer, with the best player in Europe set to be decided, Kaka has come out in support of his club colleague at Santiago Bernabeu.
He admits that there is little to choose between Ronaldo and reigning European and World Player of the Messi, but feels Real's Portuguese goal machine just gets the nod.
"Messi is extraordinary," Kaka told Brazilian television.
"To say who is the best player in the world is relative because a lot depends on what you do for the collective.
Excellent
"He and Cristiano are the best in the world, but in today's game, in the modern game, Cristiano is the most complete player in the world.
"Cristiano can score goals with his left, with his right, with his head and from set-pieces. Messi is excellent with all the great things he has, but Cristiano is a more complete player than him."
Brazil international Kaka, who was named the best player on the plant himself in 2007, has hinted that Zinedine Zidane is one of the best he has ever seen, while fellow countryman Ronaldinho is among the greatest he has had the pleasure of playing alongside.
He added: "Cristiano is the best player that I have played with. I have played against Zidane, but I did not play with him.
"Ronaldo is the best for his genius and his speed of thought. Ronaldinho is very close to that level."
