The Champions League holders have re-signed striker Alvaro Morata from Juventus while selling Jese Rodriguez and Denis Cheryshev to Paris Saint-Germain and Villarreal in a quiet summer by their standards.

Perez has not ruled out making further signings, but after watching his side beat Sevilla 3-2 after extra-time to win the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday, he believes it is hard to better the players already in the Real Madrid ranks.

"We've got an extraordinary squad. We've still got to work very hard and our ambition is always to win it all. We've got a great player in every position on the pitch," he told the club's official website.

"Up until August 31 anything can happen, but we're really satisfied with the players that we've got. It's very difficult to improve our squad.

"We've got the best players in every position, as was seen at the European Championship."

However, Zinedine Zidane's side, who finished runners-up to Barcelona in La Liga last season, showed strength in depth in Trondheim on Tuesday as they emerged 3-2 winners without six regular starters, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

"We're very pleased because it's not easy to win the Super Cup and we've won the last three we've played after winning the Champions League," Perez said.
