Real Madrid fans responded to the day's events in Catalonia, showing their support for Spain by waving the national flag in the 12th minute of their La Liga clash with Espanyol.
Supporters entering the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday were provided with a poster of the Spanish flag, with the club calling for unity following the ugly scenes earlier in the day which caused Barcelona's game with Las Palmas to be played behind closed doors.
Madrid fans sang songs in support of their nation against Espanyol, the only professional Catalan club that has stayed quiet in the lead-up to the referendum.
Isco struck twice as champions Real won 2-0 to claim their first home victory of the season in La Liga.
