Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of defender Filipe from Deportivo La Coruna.
The Brazilian full-back arrives on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee reported to be in the region of 13.5million euros (£11.3m).
The two clubs had reached an agreement earlier in the week but the transfer could not be finalised until Filipe took a medical, which he has now undergone successfully.
The 24-year-old has caught the eye with a string of impressive performances in the Primera Liga over the past couple of seasons.
He made his international debut last October and would have been likely to go to the World Cup until injury struck in January.
