Stefan Savic has set his sights on winning trophies after joining Atletico Madrid on a five-year deal.
The centre-half confirmed he was on the brink of leaving Fiorentina for the Spanish capital on Monday and has now put pen to paper after completing a medical.
"I am very happy to be here and to be part of this very big club and I am ready to start with my new team-mates my new experience with Atletico," he told the club's official website.
"I expect a lot of success with Atletico such as trophies, that was maybe the main reason that I left Florence to come to Atletico, to try to win some trophies.
"I know they made some very important results the last couple of years and they are an aggressive team with very, very good players. They showed their quality when they won the Spanish league (in 2014) and played the final of the Champions (League).
"This team is really, really good and I think every day is going to be better and better."
The Montenegrin began his career in Serbia and joined Manchester City from Partizan Belgrade in 2011, winning a Premier League title.
The 24-year-old spent a single season in England before moving to La Viola.
Atletico sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero said: "We are very pleased by the agreement reached with Fiorentina, because Stefan is a player with huge prospects and a great future ahead.
"He is a quick and potent defender, with experience despite his youth due to having played in the top leagues of Serbia, England and Italy.
"I am convinced that he will contribute greatly to the team."
