Edin Dzeko scored with the last kick of the game as Roma's Champions League ambitions were boosted by a 3-2 Serie A victory at Frosinone on Saturday.

Dzeko pounced in the fifth minute of stoppage time from Stephan El Shaarawy's cross with lowly Frosinone seconds away from a precious point.

Camillo Ciano gave Frosinone a fifth-minute lead following a mix-up between midfielder Steven Nzonzi and goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

Roma levelled on the half-hour mark when Dzeko latched onto a loose ball and fired home off the inside of the post.

The Giallorossi were ahead within 72 seconds after Marco Sportiello failed to hold El Shaarawy's shot and Lorenzo Pellegrini swept home the rebound.

Frosinone almost equalised midway through the second half when Andrea Pinamonti was halted by a last-ditch intervention from Davide Santon.

But substitute Pinamonti did equalise 10 minutes from time after breaking onto Ciano's pass. Dzeko had the final word, though, to move Roma within one point of fourth-placed AC Milan.
