Udinese insist defender is not for sale
Udinese have sought to quash rumours suggesting they are to sanction the sale of Mehdi Benatia to Paris St Germain.
Reports have claimed that an agreement to take the 24-year-old to France during the January transfer window is in the process of being thrashed out.
PSG are not the only club to be heavily linked with the Morocco international, but they do possess the spending power to rival most sides in Europe.
Udinese appreciate that speculation will always surround good players, with Benatia having previously been mentioned as a possible target for Inter Milan and Napoli.
They are, however, keen to point out that they have no plans to let the former Marseille defender return to Ligue 1.
Interest
"I deny that there is an agreement between Udinese and PSG," the Serie A outfit's sporting director, Fabrizio Larini, told
L'Equipe.
"PSG showed an interest in Benatia back in August, but we kindly said no.
"There is also no chance that he will leave in January."
