Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo admits he would be keen to make his loan move to Inter Milan permanent.

Osvaldo, who joined the Saints from Roma on a four-year deal in August last year, headed to the San Siro on a season-long loan this summer with Saphir Taider going in the opposite direction.

The 28-year-old made just 13 appearances for Southampton and spent the second half of last season in Serie A with Juventus following a training ground bust-up with team-mate Jose Fonte.

Osvaldo conceded he had struggled to adapt to English football and after numerous moves in recent transfer windows, the striker says he would now like to get settled at Inter.

"The club is important and there is also an important project," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"My wish is to remain here. It is a united group.

"I’d like to stay in the same team for more than two years."

Osvaldo scored Inter’s only goal in the humiliating 4-1 home defeat by Cagliari and admits his side must improve on their first loss of the season.

"From these things you can only learn, I think there has been a bad attitude from us," he said.
