Carlo hoping for second half repeat

MILAN coach Carlo Ancelotti is hoping his side can show the second half form they displayed against Lazio in their Champions League tie against Lokomotiv Moscow on Wednesday.

The Rossoneri were two-down against Lazio at the weekend, however second half strikes from Filippo Inzaghi and Rivaldo rescued a draw for Giuseppe Meazza outfit.

Although Ancelotti is not under-estimating the Russian visitors, he believes his side will triumph if they play to their ability.

"Lokomotiv are a good team. I've seen them on a few occasions and they particularly well in Madrid when they deserved to win against Real," said Ancelotti.

"They are able to defend themselves and they're dangerous on the counter attack, but I have faith to find the same Milan team I saw in the second half with Lazio. It has been the best half played up to now by my team.

"As always, the fundamentals of the game will be strength and desire. I hope it won't be necessary for us to go behind to see a reaction."

Milan will be without striker Andrei Shevchenko for the clash, as Ancelotti has withdrawn him due to a muscular problem and feels it would be unnecessary to risk him.
