Out-of-favour striker to stay in German capital

Brazilian striker Andre Lima is determined to prove his worth at Hertha Berlin despite a disappointing debut season in the Bundesliga. The 22-year-old arrived in the German capital from Botafogo but has been handed limited chances to shine at the Olympiastadion. Coach Lucien Favre has preferred Marko Pantelic and Raffael as his two main strikers, but Lima says he will fight for his place and is not thinking about leaving in the summer. "My time is certainly not up here. I can say I will definitely not be moving in the summer," Lima told Kicker. "There were three or four enquiries about me in the winter from Brazilian clubs, but I knew that Hertha didn't want me to leave so I just got on with things. "I see my situation as a new challenge. I worked on my fitness in the winter and lost three kilos. "I want to prove myself here in Berlin and I want to go to the Olympics in Beijing."
