Werder sign Trybull and are also hot on the heels of Ozbek

Werder Bremen have agreed a swap deal with Hansa Rostock to bring in Tom Trybull, with Timo Perthel heading in the other direction. Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has confirmed the deal to bring in Germany Under-18 international midfielder Tybull on a three-year contract from the former Bundesliga outfit. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Perthel has been granted a free transfer to the DKB-Arena, after spending most of last season on-loan at Austria top-flight club Sturm Graz.

Promising

Allofs believes the deal will benefit both clubs, saying: "We have been able to sign a very young player in Trybull. "He is a very promising midfielder and we want to hand him the opportunity to grow into a good player who will get the chance to prove himself at the highest level. "Rostock are getting a player in Perthel who has just won the Austrian top flight title with Graz. "He was keen to move as he wanted to keep playing first team football and that was something that we were unable to guarantee him due to competition for first-team places."
Competition
Meanwhile, Allofs has admitted the club are hopeful of signing youngster Baris Ozbek. The former Germany Under-21 International is currently plying his trade at Turkish giants Galatasaray. But Allofs wants the midfielder at the Weserstadion as a replacement for Frank Baumann, who retired from the game two years ago, with the club failing to fill his boots since. Bremen are understood to be facing tough competition from Trabzonspor for Ozbek's signature. However, Allofs is confident of securing the player's services, telling BILD: "He is a good player and a player we are interested in. It is really no secret we have watched him and it's also not a secret we have a serious interest in him. "We still have to ensure that any deal fits our ideas and we further have to ensure we are not losing our bigger priorities due to this. "Our top priority at this point in time remains signing central defenders."
