Manager the man to lead Kaiserslautern to safety

Under-pressure Kaiserslautern manager Marco Kurz has been offered a vote of confidence by the club. The Fritz-Walter-Stadion outfit have failed to win in 13 consecutive Bundesliga matches and have slipped into the relegation zone. But Kaiserslautern general manager Stefan Kuntz still supports Kurz and the club's playing squad. Kuntz told Deutsche Presseagentur: "We have already said we are confident the first-team squad will ensure safety in the Bundesliga together with the coaching staff. "They are strong enough to do so. We are convinced that the squad and the coaching staff will make that happen. "We are keeping the faith in their skills and qualities." Kurz is contracted to Kaiserslautern until June 2013 and last season guided the club to an impressive seventh-place finish upon their return to the Bundesliga.
