Werder Bremen striker Marko Arnautovic has admitted his faults and has vowed to improve his behaviour both on and off the field.
The Austria international has been labelled the bad boy of the Weserstadion after getting himself into trouble with his club's officials on several occasions.
Arnautovic's worst such incident involved a nightclub brawl which earned him a suspension from Werder boss Thomas Schaff, while he was also dropped from his national team's squad.
But the 22-year, a €6.2million (£5.6m) signing from FC Twente last summer, has vowed to turn over a new leaf when the new Bundesliga season on 6th August.
"Much was written about me last season. I provided the stories. That was clearly my fault and I want to change my behaviour," Arnautovic told
Kicker.
He added: "Now we have a new season, I feel the trust of the club, the trainer and manager and want a new start.
"A year ago I said that we would be champions, I'll hold myself back this time."
