Wins for Dortmund, Bayern, Hannover, Hamburg and Freiburg

Borussia Dortmund continued their march towards the Bundesliga title by beating St Pauli as Bayern Munich, Hamburg and Hannover enjoyed easy wins. Hoffenheim were frustrated at home by Cologne, while Wolfsburg continue to toil after losing away at Freiburg. Leaders Dortmund remain on course for the championship after a comfortable 2-0 home success over St Pauli. Lucas Barrios made the breakthrough six minutes before half-time and an own goal by Ralph Gunesch four minutes into the second half secured the points. Bayern Munich remain 13 points behind Dortmund following a 3-1 away success over Mainz. The visitors were in front inside the opening 10 minutes through Bastian Schweinsteiger and scored a second five minutes after half-time courtesy of Thomas Muller. Mario Gomez hit the post before finding his range with the third goal on 77 minutes, with Mainz netting an 84th minute consolation through Sami Allagui. Hannover are continuing their push for an unlikely place in the UEFA Champions League after a 3-0 home win over lowly Kaiserslautern. Jan Schlaudraff opened the scoring after 17 minutes and Mohammed Abdellaoue doubled the lead just before half-time. A second goal of the game from Schlaudraff on 57 minutes ensured Hannover are firmly in the mix for European football next season. Paolo Guerrero notched a second-half brace as Hamburg hammered struggling Werder Bremen 4-0 at home. Mladen Petric put Hamburg in front three minutes before the interval before Guerrero notched his first goal of the afternoon on 64 minutes. Guerrero's second followed on 79 minutes and substitute Anis Ben-Hatira completed the rout with three minutes to go. Wolfsburg remain perilously close to the relegation zone after Papiss Demba Cisse's second-half goal earned Freiburg a 2-1 home triumph. Patrick Helmes gave Wolfsburg a 28th minute lead before Stefan Reisinger levelled just before the break and Demba Cisse grabbed the winner on 69 minutes. Hoffenheim's bid to make inroads towards the European places was held up after a 1-1 draw at home with Cologne. Milivoje Novakovic's own goal gave Hoffenheim the lead on 48 minutes and Vedad Ibisevic hit the post for the hosts on 65 minutes. Ryan Babel was also denied by the woodwork two minutes later for the home side before Youssef Mohamed scored on 69 minutes to earn Cologne a point.
