Former Newcastle United defender Kevin Mbabu has signed a pre-contract with German club VFL Wolfsburg, securing a four-year deal for an £8m fee.
Mbabu has signed with the Bundesliga club until 2023 after passing a medical on Thursday.
The Switzerland international has been a revelation at Young Boys in the past two seasons.
He helped them to their first Swiss title in 32 years, and then featured in the club's 2018/19 Champions League campaign in five out of their six group games.
The 24-year-old told VFL Wolfsburg's club website: "I'm really looking forward to this new challenge and the adventure in the Bundesliga.

"The facilities at the club are ideal for me to keep improving as a footballer at a high level.
"I obviously know the importance of the number 19 shirt, which Junior Malanda wore.
"It's a big honour for me to wear that number. It goes without saying that it gives me extra motivation to give my all and earn the right to wear the shirt."
During his spell at Newcastle United, Mbabu mainly featured in the Magpies' U23's development team but was handed a Premier League start by Steve McClaren.
He made three first-team appearances during his time at St James' Park before being released.
The Sw iss attracted interest from Southampton last summer during Mark Hughes tenure at St Mary's.
The right-back was also a transfer target for Fulham during the 2018 summer transfer window, with the Cottagers reportedly having a £7m offer rejected by Young Boys.
