Bojan Krkic has become the first Spanish player to score in each of Europe's top four leagues.
The Stoke forward, currently on loan at Mainz, scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich on Saturday.
It was his 41st senior league goal, adding to his 12 strikes for Barcelona, 10 between Roma and AC Milan, and 14 for Stoke.
Bojan becomes only the seventh player in history to score in the English, Spanish, Italian and German top flights alongside Florin Raducioiu, Gica Popescu, Pierre Womé, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Obafemi Martins and Kevin-Prince Boateng.
Bojan said: "Obviously claiming the record makes me very proud.
"As a player, I consider myself to have been really privileged to have had the chance to enjoy playing in the four major leagues as a professional and days like today make it all the more thrilling.
"What's more, I'm very happy with the record that I've achieved today because it's a reward for the decisions that I've made throughout my career.
"However, the most important thing is that we got a point and the fact that my first goal came against a great side like Bayern at a fantastic stadium like the Allianz Arena."
Bojan's future at Stoke remains uncertain, having been unhappy with a lack of playing time under Mark Hughes before a January switch to Mainz for the remainder of the season.
The 26-year-old, who has three years left on his Stoke contract, joined the club in a £3m deal from Roma in 2014.
