We think we may have found the worst miss of 2017 so far.
Netherlands U21 striker Sam Hendriks was presented with an open goal from barely two yards during Go Ahead Eagles' clash with Roda JC on Friday night.
It looked easier to score than to miss - and he even had two attempts at it - but somehow he bundled the ball wide of the goalpost.
The scoreline was 0-0 at the time and to really rub salt into Hendriks' wounds, Go Ahead Eagles went on to lose the game 1-0 as Christian Kum notched what was only Roda's 15th goal in 23 league games 20 minutes from time.

Victory for the hosts lifted them above Hans de Koning's men and out of the relegation zone as they climbed from second bottom to 14th.
