PEC Zwolle moved up to second in the Eredivisie after a 2-0 win at struggling NAC Breda on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Bram van Polen netted from the penalty spot following a foul on Mustafa Saymak.

PEC extended their lead eight minutes from time through Saymak after he was set up by winger Youness Mokhtar to condemn Breda to a defeat which leaves them in the bottom three.

Roda dropped to the foot of the table following a 3-0 defeat at FC Twente, with two of the home side's goals coming from Oussama Assaidi.

The Moroccan winger opened the scoring after 26 minutes when he netted from the penalty spot after being brought down in the area.

Assaidi stretched his side's lead 12 minutes into the second half after being set up by Luciano Slagveer.

Peet Bijen wrapped up the points with the third goal when he scored from close range following a corner.
