Bjorn Johnsen scored twice in the second half as ADO Den Haag came from behind to win 2-1 at Excelsior in the Eredivisie on Friday.

The hosts took the lead in the 26th minute when Milan Massop headed in from a corner.

Johnsen equalised with a diving header seven minutes after the break, following up after Abdenasser El Khayati's deflected shot had come back off the post.

Erik Falkenburg then came close to putting ADO in front as his effort hit the post, before Norway international Johnsen did so with 11 minutes to go, firing a shot from outside the box that flew in via a deflection off Wout Faes.

Ali Messaoud almost brought the teams level again soon after as his attempt connected with the bar.
