PSV needed a goal from skipper Luuk de Jong to secure a 1-1 draw at Heerenveen.

The forward struck in the 66th minute with a neat finish after being played in by Adam Maher to rescue a point for the Eredivisie champions.

Heerenveen had taken the lead 10 minutes after half-time through a penalty from Turkish full-back Caner Cavlan.

PSV poured forward in search of a winner but could not find a way through and had to settle for their second draw in three matches this season.

Oussama Tannane scored four goals in 34 first-half minutes as Heracles thumped second-bottom Cambuur Leeuwarden 6-1 to move into third.

The Moroccan's stunning display helped make it nine goals for Heracles from their last two matches.

Tannane opened the scoring after just seven minutes and added a penalty midway through the first half. He completed his hat-trick just before the half-hour mark and made it four in the 41st minute.

In fourth, Roda JC were 1-0 winners at basement boys De Graafschap thanks to a goal just before half-time from Tom Hyfte.
