Dutch giants biding time after seeing bid rejected

FC Twente are waiting for Feyenoord to make the next move over the possible transfer of young midfielder Leroy Fer, says chairman Joop Munsterman. Twente are keen to bring the 21-year-old to Enschede this summer but recently had an undisclosed bid for his services rejected by the Rotterdammers. Munsterman says his side are waiting for Feyenoord to put a price tag on Fer, who is contracted at De Kuip until 2012, before making another offer. "We have made a very reasonable bid," Munsterman told Voetbal International. "Feyenoord thought it was a ridiculous offer, but they have not indicated how much we have to pay. Here we are waiting now. "For the short term, we do nothing." Fer has previously expressed his desire to join Feyenoord's Eredivisie rivals Twente, stating: "I want to develop and that is at FC Twente." The midfielder, capped once for the Netherlands national side, is a youth product in Rotterdam and began his senior career there in 2007.
